Join us for a brief "Tech Spotlight" presentation -- Google Augmedix at Eastern Maine Health Systems with Dr. Rafael Grossmann!

Google Augmedix is a comprehensive real-time medical transcription solution that uses Google Glass devices to allow doctors to have complete transcription and documentation performed during a medical appointment by a remote professional trascriptionist. Dr. Grossmann will demonstrate how this tool is being used at EMHS.

MTUG’s Peers and Beers event is a chance for IT professionals and enthusiasts to network in an informal setting while learning about a unique technology topic.

The event, generously co-sponsored by FairPoint Communications, will be on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at Season's Restaurant & Bar, 427 Main Street, Bangor.

The event will also highlight MTUG’s NEW website to be released this fall, as well as our season of educational webinars and networking events (held monthly September to April), which discuss a variety of business technology topics.

Dr. Rafael Grossmann

Healthcare Futurist, Technology Innovator, Surgeon & Educator

Since completing his surgery residency in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Dr. Grossmann has developed as a general, trauma, advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgeon who now practices in Maine. Dr. Grossmann has focused on tapping the paradoxical power of technology to coexist with a better, more humane medical care. He is one of the earliest Google Glass explorers and in June 20th, 2013, was the first doctor to ever use Google Glass during live surgery.
