Hardware Honeypot Workshop
Oct. 14, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Location: Open Bench Project, 971 Congress St, Portland, ME 04103
A honeypot is an intentionally created fake system that is designed as a trap for the potential attackers. They deviate the attack to the fake system rather than the original system and even it helps you detect the malicious traffic and track them. In this workshop we'll be building our own honeypots with microcontrollers. Bring your laptop with you, this will be a hands-on exercise where you'll learn how to create simple honeypots using microcontrollers. All hardware will be provided and you'll be bringing home your own honeypot by the end of the workshop.
