  • Information Systems Support Specialist II - 20 hrs per week

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree in Information Technology and up to, and including, four years’ experience in an Information Technology or related discipline.  Equivalent experience may be subsituted for education on a year for year basis.

    RESPONSIBILITIES: Under limited supervision, performs technical support and administrative functions across the complete range of technologies supported by the Information Technology department requiring a vast knowledge of multiple user and server hardware and software environments. An employee in this classification performs day-to-day trouble shooting, research and proactive maintenance tasks on classroom audiovisual and computing equipment, staff and faculty enterprise applications, requiring a broad technical background.  The individual has responsibility for, but not limited to: discreet areas of operation, user account support, and timely resolution of computer equipment issues.  

    This position will also be responsible for installing and configuring wired and wireless network and support infrastructures, be capable of diagnosing and resolving communications, security, hardware and operating systems problems, and will research and test new systems to support academic and administrative needs.  This position focuses on supporting evening classes and applicants must be on site during these hours.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    •    Duties require knowledge of local area networks
    •    Knowledge of research techniques, proper micro/minicomputer system data security and backup procedures
    •    Knowledge of Institution procedures and standards
    •    Ability to install micro and minicomputer hardware and software
    •    Load and optimize utilization of advanced micro/minicomputer software and operation systems
    •    Troubleshoot computer system failures and diagnose computer system problems
    •    The ability to conduct training classes on system operations and software

  • Website Developer wanted

    We are looking for a website developer to join our team at Aptuitiv.

    You will be responsible for developing the interfaces for client websites.  A typical day would have you working on new HTML/CSS layouts for websites.  Often you'll be getting the layouts from Photoshop mockups, so experience with Photoshop is a must.   You will also be involved in making updates and improvements to existing client websites. Because most of our clients use our CMS, you'll be using it a lot to build and edit their websites.

    Experience with developing responsive websites is a must as many of the sites that we build are mobile friendly and utilize responsive design techniques.

    You should also have experience with Javascript, jQuery and jQuery plugins.

    We use a custom framework called Cacao for almost all of our websites. It's based on Suit CSS and enables us to have a consistent starting point for new websites. Experience with Node.jsnpmgulp and PostCSS is desired.

    Position Summary:

    Martin’s Point maintains a data warehouse containing data from all aspects of its operations.  Utilizing various data manipulation tools as well as an enterprise business intelligence (BI) platform the Informatics Department provides business intelligence and analytic services to Martin’s Point.  Informatics develops structures to store data as an asset beginning with the Data Architecture team and supplies that data, through the delivery of reports, analyses and consultation by the BI Reporting team.

     

    Informatics supplies analysis and reports to all departments at Martin’s Point from the executive level to the management team as well as frontline staff, all with the goal of improving performance throughout the organization.

     

    The Associate BI Reporting Analyst (on the BI Reporting team) provides decision support to the various internal customers at Martin’s Point utilizing the data warehouse as the primary, but not exclusive, source of data.  The Associate analyst works closely with other Informatics analysts to provide accurate, timely, and consistent information, which enables informed decisions related to improving performance - clinically, financially and operationally.

     

    Key Outcomes:

     

    • Supports the execution and maintenance of existing production reports
    • Develops and maintains operational reporting for internal customers
    • Supports the development of clinical and financial reporting and analyses by Informatics team members
    • Packages the presentation of reporting and analyses to various audiences using a variety of tools from Excel to PowerPoint to the BI/Analytic Tools

    Job description: Business Intelligence Analyst

    The Business Intelligence Analyst plays a pivotal role at Arkatechture and we are looking for a new team member to fill this role who has strength in both processing heavy loads of data while also visualizing that data to make it digestible for clients and audiences with varying levels of understanding. This person will help drive our clients’ business decisions by creating dynamic and powerful data visualizations, most commonly using Tableau.

    The primary role of this position is to represent quantitative and qualitative data in an easy to understand visual context by combining skills in visual design and analytics. This role requires creativity to achieve visual communication, a passion for telling a story with data, and the ability to conduct independent basic statistical analysis.

    Responsibilities

    • Interface directly with clients to understand the needs and objectives of the business
    • Document business requirements and translate into technical specifications
    • Understand business process and identify opportunities for improvement
    • Extract and prepare data for analysis across multiple platforms using SQL and other BI tools
    • Break the Excel mentality and build trust through intuitive and accurate reporting
    • Design and create interactive Tableau visualizations that can be used by non-technical users up to the executive level
    • Communicate results clearly to all stakeholders, facilitators and partners
    • As needed, able to work onsite with clients in ME, NH and MA up to 75% of the time
    • Additional responsibilities as assigned

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Must love data and showing others the power it holds
    • Advanced knowledge and experience in data visualization
    • SQL knowledge and an understanding of data models
    • Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical collaborators
    • Eager to learn, enthusiastic, and driven with a positive attitude

    Prefered Experience

    • Experience working in Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik
    • Applicants should have a natural creative edge, an aptitude for analytics, and a desire for data-driven decision making

    Provide technical assistance to computer system users. Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone, or remotely. May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word-processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.  Triage incoming support requests.

    • Monitor and respond to technical support requests in a timely and effective manner
    • Identifies, researches, and resolves hardware and software problems in a multiple platform environment

    Education, Experience and Skills:

    • 2-5 years technical experience with certificate or degree in PC/network field or equivalent work experience
    • Intermediate knowledge of personal computer hardware and software, including networking and multiple Windows operating systems
    • MCITP, MCTS, and/or A+ certification would be considered an asset
    • Proven troubleshooting skills including hands-on, phone, and ability to provide support to remote locations.

    RESPONSIBILITIES: Under limited supervision, performs technical support and administrative functions across the complete range of technologies supported by the Information Technology  department requiring a vast knowledge of multiple user and server hardware and software environments.
