    Scott is the Senior Technology Officer at Camden National Corporation. He is responsible for all information technology initiatives at the bank and supporting Camden National’s infrastructure, including its wide-area and local-area networks, IP phone system, core banking system and related applications, video conferencing deployments and call center support. Scott has been at Camden National for six years. Prior to Camden National, Scott worked at Wright Express in Portland and MBNA Marketing Systems in Belfast managing their inbound call centers. Scott has worked for AT&T installing central office switches for multiple US Treasury Department locations throughout Washington, DC.  Scott is a graduate of Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA.

    Scott has been involved with MTUG since 2011.

    Dick retired in 2013 a position as Senior Advisor in the Contact Center Technologies organization at WellPoint, Inc., based in the Anthem BCBS office in South Portland, ME. WellPoint is the largest health care company in the US, insuring more than 34 million members with approximately 10,000 call center representatives in more than 60 locations.

    Dick has experience in virtually every aspect of Information Technology, including applications development, voice and data communications and networks, data center operations, technical help desks, information security, and data base management in the insurance (UNUM, WellPoint), financial services (Baker Newman & Noyes, Wright Express), and shipbuilding (Computer Sciences Corporation at Bath Iron Works) industries.

    In addition, Dick has held staff and management positions in the Finance, Strategic Planning, Medicare, and Market Research business functions. He has been involved in a number of mergers and acquisitions and the subsequent integration and conversion efforts of technologies, processes, and people.

    Dick has been a member of MTUG since close to its inception. He has been involved in the public policy arena and has testified on behalf of MTUG in public hearings, the Maine Legislature, and at the Maine Public Utilities Commission.  He served on or worked closely with the MTUG board for 27 years, serving as Treasurer, and retiring from the board in 2013. Dick is a graduate of the University of Maine.

  • DelMonte, Terry

    Terry DelmonteWith 25 years of IT experience Terry brings a blend of in-depth technical expertise and leadership and management skills to the MTUG Board.

    Following a four year tour in the US Navy, Terry began his IT career with Hannaford supermarkets supporting over 150 locations, holding position in IT Operations, Disaster Recovery, Information Security, and Mainframe Services.  At Hannaford, Terry implemnted a second hot data center with full parallel sysplex capabilities across sites for seamless site to site failover.

    In 2008 Hannaford IT merged with Food Lion IT to create the Delhaize America Shared Services IT, supporting over 1,400 locations, where Terry held positions managing Storage Services, as an Infrastructure Architect, and as Director of Network and Platform technologies.  Terry focused on solutions delivery, leading teams successfully delivering high profile, multi-million dollar solutions on time and on budget.  Some key projects Terry led include the implementation of a Global Messaging and Directory program, the implementation of a Network Segmentation program that was key in improving Delhaize's security posture, and he also led a major initiative to remediate over 100 audit findings.

    In 2013 Terry joined Unum Group, serving as Director of Network operations and then Director of Enterprise Infrastructure Architecture.  In this role Terry successfully led the creation of a vision and strategy that has worked to align the nearly 400 person infrastructure organization to ensure that they are working towards a common set of objectives.

    In 2015, Terry joined WEX as Director of M&A Integration and Global Customer Service, where his responsibilities include discovery and planning of all Infrastructure Merger & Acquisition integration activities and global customer service delivery for WEX infrastructure services.

    Terry joined MTUG in late 2015 as a Board Member.

    Tom FarringtonTom first began resolving technical issues in 1986.  Since then he has continued his career from developing batch files, to programming mainframe accounting interfaces.  Today, you can find Tom working as the IT Manager at Holden Agency Insurance in Portland, directing their technology development and maintaining their existing technology infrastructure.  Tom has been with Holden Agency since 2001, prior to that he worked for Bell Atlantic as Network Administrator covering the Engineering offices throughout the State of Maine.  Tom also worked in a technical capacity at Pierce Atwood, GWI and Unum in years past.

    Norm is Systems Engineering Manager at MetroCast Communications in Rochester, NH. Previously, Norm served as the Director of Information Technology for the law firm of Pierce Atwood, LLP in Portland, Maine, a position he held from 2005 to 2012. Before joining Pierce Atwood, Norm was the IT Director for NorDx Laboratories, Inc. and Catholic Charities Maine. He also served as the Manager of Network Services at Bath Iron Works.

    Norm also serves as the Portland representative for the International Legal technology Association (ILTA). He is a graduate of New Hampshire College with a BS in Business Administration.

    Norm joined MTUG in early 1991 and became a board member 1996. He served as President of the MTUG Board from 2005 through 2009, and retired from the board in 2013.

    Principal:  Dick Hulsey

    Dick Hulsey has been active with MTUG throughout its history, and served on the MTUG board for 22 years, retiring in 2013. His role on the MTUG board was as an important liaison to state and federal legislative activities, coordinating many of our Legislative Updates sessions, and assisting with position documents on regulatory issues.

    Chuck is the manager of Network Engineering Services at L.L. Bean.  His team is responsible for L.L. Bean’s global voice and data networks, including WAN, LAN, PBX, WiFi, Internet Service Providers, dark and dimly lit fiber, smart/cell phones, and call center applications such as chat and email.  Chuck has worked at L.L. Bean for 15 years.

    Prior to L.L. Bean, Chuck worked at UNUMProvident for 12 years as a systems engineer, supporting mainframe, distributed, and PC platforms – particularly as it related to networking these systems together.   Chuck holds a BA degree in mathematics from the University of Maine – Orono.

    Chuck has been involved with MTUG since the mid-1990s.

  • Stockford, Marjorie

    Marge was the Executive Director of MTUG for 13 years, resigning in 2013. She is currently the Director of the Internship USA program at the Council of International Education Exchange). Marge began her career in the telecommunications industry, holding management positions with AT&T, Bank of Boston, Honeywell and Honeywell Bull, and Dun & Bradstreet. She has also held leadership positions in several non-profits including the YWCA of the U.S.A. and Maine Handicapped Skiing and has run her own consulting business specializing in strategic planning and program evaluation.

    Marge is the author of The Bellwomen: The Story of the Landmark AT&T Sex Discrimination Case, published in 2004 by Rutgers University Press. She holds an undergraduate degree in industrial engineering and operations research from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, an MBA from New York University, and an MPA from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.

    Curt runs his own independent telecommunications consulting firm, NetWorks Consulting. Curt has worked for clients in the for-profit and non-profit sectors including the State of Maine, the University of Maine, Northeastern University, LL Bean, Camden National Bank, and the United Way. His expertise encompasses wired and wireless infrastructure, carrier services and contracts, and IP telephony and unified communications.

    Curt has had had a thirty year career in the telecommunications industry, working for Key Bank of Maine and the University of Southern Maine prior to founding NetWorks Consulting in 1988.

    Curt is also active in state telecom regulatory affairs, participating in Maine Public Utilities Commission proceedings and appearing before the state legislature and telecommunications industry forums.

    Curt founded MTUG in 1987, collaborating with a team of telecommunications end users in Maine, and has been involved as an MTUG Board member and/or participant ever since.

  • Weiss, Michael

    Michael has worked for UNUM since 1996 and has been in his role of innovation advocate and facilitator since 2012. He has worked in a variety of programming and technical management positions for multiple industries including computer software, telephony and networking, passenger airline, and satellite research.

    Michael has a BS in Computer Science from Pennsylvania State University. He served on the MTUG board from 2014 to 2015, including time chairing the Conference Committee and serving as Board Secretary.
